From the first day, when a mobile came into existence, people used to charge their mobile with long wire charger. This type of charging is still being continued from decade. People just pin their mobile with their charger and then switch the charger on and then keep their mobile aside until it gets charged. Now the trend have changed with the emerging of smartphone devices. Many smartphone devices are being charged using wired chargers, where as some of the smartphone devices are being charged using wireless chargers. With the help of wireless charging, people can charge their mobile when ever they want only in the home premises or around a minimum distance where the charger is kept in the slot to supply electricity.
Now, as the technology have been changing from day to day and time to time, scientists have discovered and proved that they can charge the mobile using thunder power. They recently have charged a mobile device using lightning bolt. This concept was actually presented in a novel called ‘Frankenstein’ by Mary Shelley some two hundred years ago. The research by the University of Southampton, United Kingdom, on ground breaking and proof of concept, which brought the concept into existence for the first time in industry on power of lightning for personal use. Researchers told that this would be a good break through for the technology in which the consumers can tap the natures significant energy sources to charge their electrical devices which run with the help of batteries. But, this study on natural power which contains high power used for charging a mobile phone is on investigating.
Neil Palmer of The University’s Tony Davies High Voltage Laboratory which is the world’s leading high voltage laboratories said that this was a challenge presented by Nokia for using an alternating current driven by a transformer of about two lacks volts is being transferred across a three hundred millimeter gap with the help of giving heat and light equal to that of the lightning bolt in which the signal will be transferred into another transformer which is used to control the voltage, that allows the mobile to charge. He even told that the discovery proves, the devices can be even charged with the help of the passing current in the air and is also a very large step in understanding the super natural power like thunder bolt and using its energy.
This is for the first time for any mobile manufacturing company to test this kind of amazing technology. Chris Weber, Executive Vice President for Sales and Marketing at Nokia, which collaborated in this discovery told the public not to try this experiment at home, or school, but they are always pushing the final lines of the technology to find many new typical ways to improve or generate the performance of the Nokia’s products.
